Director's Message

When I was raising my two children years ago, I looked for facilities to place my children where I would feel comfortable knowing they would be loved, cared for, and stimulated.  I never did find a place that I truly felt my children and I would benefit from and so I decided to become a stay at home mom.  I never regretted my decision to care for my children myself, but I did regret the fact that there didn’t seem to be any childcare facilities that matched my standards.

As my children grew, graduated, and moved away, I couldn’t help but come back to those questions that had come up those many years ago – where were all of the quality facilities?  I investigated, volunteered, and worked at some daycares, but none seemed to embody the type of childcare that I thought was needed.

So in the fall of 1995 I decided that I would open up my own childcare center and try and provide a quality childcare facility.  I wanted a center that would provide a solid educational base, while at the same time providing a comfortable environment.  I wanted children to experience stimulation and yet still feel as if they were being cared for as if they were at home.

I wanted my facility to be the “home away from home” for you children.  We maintained a home-like atmosphere when designing the layout.  We’ve intentionally kept our total enrollment low, and our classrooms small so that your child may get the kind of personalized attention that they deserve.  Our teachers are chosen not only for the work and educational backgrounds, but also for their personal backgrounds – we value maturity, personal experiences with children, and those that inspire and are inspired by children. And because we are an independent daycare, all of our energy is spent on your children and their individual needs.

It is my personal commitment to provide the most personal care for both you and your child.  We welcome all opportunities for communication – you will never hear a recorded voice when you call, and you will always be greeted personally when you arrive.  We feel that this is the most important objective in providing quality care, by welcoming you into our family we will be able to provide the type of care that is both enriching and nurturing.

We thank you for trusting us with your children. We look forward to continuing to grow our family with all of you. Please know that when your child is here at Your Child's Place, they will be creating memories and even friendships that last. Thank you for your consideration in our facility.
